DATE NIGHT!

Makeup can be a way to express yourself and helps show the world the way you feel, without having to say a word. You can give yourself a fresh, natural look or you can go full-on glam, with fake eyelashes and a fierce lip — or find yourself loving somewhere in between. Makeup is, according to me, one of girl's best friends.

While working on the contours of the face and bringing out the individual personality within I always stress upon the fact that makeup isn't meant to hide your face, it's meant to enhance it. Every face is pretty... with or without Makeup!

While working on Client makeup transformations, oftentimes the finished product can be quite bewildering — sometimes, the way makeup is applied makes someone look like an entirely different person and it is the best feeling for me as an artist to silently acknowledge how awestruck people are when they look at themselves in the mirror after patiently waiting for that final result!

Featured in this article is the stunning Ritika, a dear colleagues spouse , who had joined her husband, undergoing a professional course in the 'Land of the Nizams'. She had planned on surprising him by taking him out on a quiet dinner date and wanted to look her best. 

Thats when I stepped in and assumed my role as a MUA and the magic began!

Ritika has a flawless complexion which every girl can only dream of... She was such a delight to work upon! She sat patiently through the entire session which took me an hour or so. 

Working my master strokes on her facial canvas was a sheer joy! And to her credit... she was game in posing for the after makeup photoshoot as well! As for the look.. keep reading on...

As she had gorgeous almond shaped eyes, I went with the shades of pink Diamond on the eyelids and smoked them out with the black truffle, which kind of enhanced those eyes and the outfit too. I added a subtle touch of highlighter to her brow bone and extended the transition shade of Demure a little over her brow bone too. Her eye makeup was complete with the finishing touch of PAC eyelashes and a touch of brown eye pencil to the lower lash line, adding to the Date Night look. We went with this chocolate brown lip shade on her well defined pout which perfectly complemented her smokey eyes.
